Adam Brooks\u00a0(born September 3, 1956) is a\u00a0Canadian\u00a0film director,\u00a0screenwriter, and\u00a0actor.\u00a0He is best known for writing and directing\u00a0Definitely, Maybe\u00a0(2008) and for writing screenplays for\u00a0French Kiss\u00a0(1995),\u00a0Wimbledon\u00a0(2004), and\u00a0Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason\u00a0(2004).\u00a0His first film as a writer-director,\u00a0Almost You,\u00a0won the Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 1985.<\/p>\n
Brooks served as a council member of the Writers Guild of America East and is currently on the board of the Writers Guild of America East Foundation.\u00a0He also teaches film at the Columbia University Graduate School of the Arts.\u00a0Brooks lives in New York City.<\/p>\n
