Dance started his career on stage with the\u00a0Royal Shakespeare Company\u00a0(RSC) before appearing in film and television. For his services to drama, he was appointed an\u00a0OBE\u00a0by\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II\u00a0in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>He made his feature film debut in the\u00a0James Bond film\u00a0For Your Eyes Only\u00a0(1981). He has since appeared in a string of critically acclaimed period films, including\u00a0Michael Collins\u00a0(1996),\u00a0Gosford Park (2001),\u00a0The Imitation Game\u00a0(2014),\u00a0Mank\u00a0(2020), and\u00a0The King&#8217;s Man\u00a0(2021). He has also appeared in the films\u00a0The Golden Child\u00a0(1986),\u00a0Alien 3 (1992),\u00a0Last Action Hero\u00a0(1993),\u00a0Dracula Untold (2014), and\u00a0Godzilla: King of the Monsters\u00a0(2019).
