Bobby Cohen\u00a0is an American\u00a0film\u00a0producer\u00a0whose credits include\u00a0The Cider House Rules\u00a0and\u00a0Memoirs of a Geisha.<\/p>\n
Bobby Cohen was born in New York state on February 8, 1970. Cohen’s parents are both attorneys. After graduating from\u00a0Cold Spring Harbor\u00a0High School in 1988, Cohen attended and received a degree from\u00a0New York University.<\/p>\n
Cohen worked as an assistant at the\u00a0Writers & Artists Agency. At 23, Cohen joined\u00a0Miramax Films, working his way up to Senior VP of Production. He contributed to movies like\u00a0Clerks,\u00a0Scream\u00a0and\u00a0Beautiful Girls during that time. His first producing credit was for\u00a054, which was mildly received. Cohen produced several other movies for Miramax before leaving in 2003.<\/p>\n
After Miramax, Cohen started his own production company, Cohen Productions. Cohen’s company produced the\u00a0Gwyneth Paltrow\u00a0movie,\u00a0View from the Top. Then, Cohen became president of\u00a0Red Wagon Productions, where he was executive producer on such projects as\u00a0Jarhead\u00a0and\u00a0Memoirs of a Geisha. After leaving Red Wagon, Cohen produced films like\u00a0Definitely, Maybe\u00a0for\u00a0Working Title\/Universal Pictures\u00a0and\u00a0Revolutionary Road\u00a0for\u00a0DreamWorks.<\/p>\n
