Alexander Hilary Kurtzman\u00a0(born September 7, 1973) is an American filmmaker. He is best known for co-writing the scripts to\u00a0Transformers\u00a0(2007),\u00a0Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen\u00a0(2009), Star Trek\u00a0(2009),\u00a0Star Trek Into Darkness\u00a0(2013), and\u00a0The Amazing Spider-Man 2\u00a0(2014) with his writing and producing partner\u00a0Roberto Orci, and directing and co-writing\u00a0The Mummy\u00a0(2017). He made his directorial debut with\u00a0People Like Us\u00a0(2012), co-written alongside Orci and Jody Lambert.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kurtzman is known, alongside Orci, for frequently collaborating with\u00a0Michael Bay\u00a0and\u00a0J.J. Abrams and co-creating the TV series\u00a0Star Trek: Discovery,\u00a0Star Trek: Picard, and\u00a0Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.<\/p>\n
