Brian Theodore Tyler\u00a0(born May 8, 1972) is an American composer, conductor, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and musician best known for his film, television, and video game scores. In his 26-year career, Tyler has scored seven instalments of the\u00a0Fast & Furious\u00a0franchise,\u00a0Aliens vs Predator: Requiem,\u00a0Rambo,\u00a0Eagle Eye,\u00a0The Expendables trilogy,\u00a0Iron Man 3,\u00a0Now You See Me,\u00a0Avengers: Age of Ultron\u00a0alongside\u00a0Danny Elfman,\u00a0Crazy Rich Asians\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0The Super Mario Bros. Movie\u00a0among others. He also composed and re-arranged the current fanfare of the\u00a0Universal Pictures\u00a0logo, composed initially by\u00a0Jerry Goldsmith, for Universal Pictures’ 100th anniversary, which debuted with\u00a0The Lorax\u00a0(2012), and composed the 2013\u20132016\u00a0Marvel Studios\u00a0logo, which debuted with\u00a0Thor: The Dark World\u00a0(2013), which he also composed the film’s score. He composed the\u00a0NFL Sunday Countdown Theme\u00a0for\u00a0ESPN, the\u00a0Formula One\u00a0theme (also used in\u00a0Formula 2\u00a0and\u00a0Formula 3), and the anthem for the\u00a0Esports World Cup. He is also behind the soundtracks of many television series, including\u00a0Yellowstone,\u00a01883, and\u00a01923, all with Breton Vivian. For his work as a film composer, he won the\u00a0IFMCA Awards\u00a02014 Composer of the Year.<\/p>\n
His composition for the film\u00a0Last Call\u00a0earned him the first of three Emmy nominations, a gold record, and induction into the music branch of the\u00a0Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. As of November 2017, his films have grossed $12 billion worldwide, putting him in the top 10 highest-grossing film composers of all time.<\/p>\n
