He has starred as Jimmy James on the\u00a0NBC\u00a0sitcom\u00a0NewsRadio\u00a0(1995\u20131999), as Milton Waddams in the film\u00a0Office Space\u00a0(1999), and voiced\u00a0Bill Dauterive\u00a0and\u00a0Buck Strickland\u00a0on the animated series\u00a0King of the Hill\u00a0(1997\u20132010, 2025\u2013present).<\/p>\n
Root has appeared in numerous\u00a0Coen brothers films, including\u00a0O Brother, Where Art Thou?\u00a0(2000),\u00a0The Ladykillers\u00a0(2004),\u00a0No Country for Old Men (2007),\u00a0The Ballad of Buster Scruggs\u00a0(2018), and\u00a0The Tragedy of Macbeth\u00a0(2021).
