Karan Soni\u00a0(born January 8, 1989) is an Indian-American actor and comedian. Often appearing in comedic roles, he came to prominence for playing\u00a0Dopinder\u00a0in the films\u00a0Deadpool\u00a0(2016) and its sequels\u00a0Deadpool 2\u00a0(2018) and\u00a0Deadpool & Wolverine\u00a0(2024), and voicing\u00a0Pavitr Prabhakar \/ Spider-Man India\u00a0in\u00a0Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse\u00a0(2023).<\/p>\n
Born in New Delhi, Soni moved to the United States to study business at the\u00a0University of Southern California\u00a0before pursuing an acting career. He made his feature film debut in\u00a0Safety Not Guaranteed\u00a0(2012), which was followed by lead appearances on the series\u00a0Betas\u00a0(2013) and\u00a0Other Space\u00a0(2015). Soni has also appeared in the films\u00a0Ghostbusters\u00a0(2016),\u00a0Office Christmas Party\u00a0(2016), and\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Detective Pikachu (2019). On television, he has appeared as a series regular on\u00a0Blunt Talk\u00a0(2015\u20132016) and\u00a0Miracle Workers\u00a0(2019\u20132023).<\/p>\n
