Juan Diego Botto Rota\u00a0(born 29 August 1975) is an Argentine-Spanish film, stage and television actor.<\/p>\n
Born in Argentina, he moved to Spain with his mother (the actress and acting coach\u00a0Cristina Rota) in 1978. Following early film appearances as a child actor, he landed a\u00a0breakthrough role\u00a0in the 1995 film\u00a0Stories from the Kronen. He has since starred in films such as\u00a0Mart\u00edn (Hache)\u00a0(1997),\u00a0Plenilune\u00a0(2000),\u00a0Broken Silence\u00a0(2001),\u00a0Obaba\u00a0(2005),\u00a0Go Away from Me (2006) and\u00a0Ismael\u00a0(2013). He has also worked as a stage director and playwright and debuted as a film director with the 2022 social drama thriller\u00a0On the Fringe.<\/p>\n
