We just got a &#8220;First Look&#8221; at the highly anticipated (and slightly baffling) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cinesist.com\/snarkive\/tv-show\/ncis-tony-ziva\/\">NCIS: Tony &amp; Ziva<\/a><\/strong> series, coming this fall to <a href=\"https:\/\/cinesist.com\/snarkive\/platform\/paramount-plus\/\">Paramount+<\/a>! UGHHHH! And if you thought their relationship was chaotic <em>before<\/em>, just wait. Probably. \ud83d\ude09<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trailer opens with <a href=\"https:\/\/cinesist.com\/snarkive\/person\/michael-weatherly\/\">Michael Weatherly<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cinesist.com\/snarkive\/person\/cote-de-pablo\/\">Cote de Pablo<\/a> themselves, all happy, elated, and excited, introducing that the trailer &#8220;starts now.&#8221; It&#8217;s a perfect way to acknowledge the NCIS fanboy (and fangirl!) moment we&#8217;ve all been having. It&#8217;s almost like they know we&#8217;ve been <em>begging<\/em> for this for years, only for them to emerge from the witness protection program of TV land! (Are you still watching? Good. Because it only gets weirder from here.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ziva-s-therapy-tony-s-commitment-issues-still-on-again-off-again\"><strong>Ziva&#8217;s Therapy &amp; Tony&#8217;s Commitment Issues: Still on Again-Off Again? \ud83d\udecb\ufe0f\ud83d\udc94<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cut to the actual First Look. And PLOT TWIST number one: Ziva appears to be seeing a <strong>shrink!<\/strong> (Wait, didn&#8217;t she, you know&#8230; DIE?! Has her therapist successfully navigated the afterlife to counsel her?) The therapist, clearly a brave soul, brings up the relationship status of her and Tony, and it seems they&#8217;re still stuck in that glorious, exasperating on-again, off-again loop, even after all these years and a shared child we definitely need more details on! Our Unfiltered Opinion on this? <strong>Toxicity at its finest!<\/strong> They&#8217;ve clearly mastered the art of emotional chaos. (Readers, you know exactly what I&#8217;m talking about. Don&#8217;t lie.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-cinesist-accent-color-color\">Cine<\/mark>-freaks<\/strong>, we also discover that Tony and Ziva have had a daughter \u2013 a mini-spy-in-training, presumably. (Because, naturally, what&#8217;s a family drama without a child thrown into the mix to raise the stakes?!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-kidnapped-child-trope-the-armory-cookie-jars\"><strong>The Kidnapped Child Trope &amp; The Armory Cookie Jars! \ud83c\udf6a\ud83d\udd2b<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And just like that, Hollywood serves up the classic kidnapped child trope! UGHHHH! Didn&#8217;t we literally just see this in, oh, I don&#8217;t know, <em>every other action movie ever?!<\/em> (Spoiler alert: bad guy takes kid, kids&#8217; parents go on a chaotic and perilous revenge spree, and annihilate everything in their path!) But this is Tony &amp; Ziva, so at least we can expect some snarky banter while they&#8217;re doing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, the Oscar-Worthy moment we were truly waiting for: the <strong>weapons!<\/strong> OMG the weapons! Ziva casually mentions she &#8220;leveled up from her cookie jars,&#8221; only to reveal a literal <strong>ARMORY!<\/strong> That&#8217;s right, a <strong>damn armory<\/strong> behind a secret wall! (So much for that minimalist Parisian apartment aesthetic.) And Tony&#8217;s reaction? Pure DiNozzo! This definitely screams commitment issues from Tony, still! Why admit to, oh, I don&#8217;t know, <em>being<\/em> together, or <em>wanting<\/em> to be together, when you can just be roomies in a safe house with enough firepower to start a small war?! LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cinesist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ncis-tony-ziva-goofy-preview-trailer-640x533.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1000011687\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Take a look at the goofiness on display here.. way to go Tony!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"still-dangerously-chaotic-after-all-these-years\"><strong>Still Dangerously Chaotic After All These Years?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, Operatives, the NCIS: Tony &amp; Ziva First Look Trailer promises exactly what we expected from these two: explosions, espionage, emotional baggage, and enough chaos to fill a season. Will their on-again, off-again dynamic fuel the fire, or just lead to more <a href=\"https:\/\/cinesist.com\/tag\/bad-decisions\/\">bad decisions<\/a>? Will self-driving murder cars make an appearance, and will Ziva&#8217;s therapist ever get paid? Our Unfiltered Opinion is cautiously optimistic for the nostalgic ride, if only for the sheer entertainment value of watching Tony try to process Ziva&#8217;s deadpan snark with an armory in the kitchen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tony.
